Lisburn District Scouts is seeking a District Youth Commissioner

In line with aims of The Scout Association’s Vision 2018 and our continuing development , Lisburn and District Scouts is seeking to appoint a District Youth Commissioner. The role will commence on the 1st September 2016 for a 3 year term..

Aged between 18 and 25, the role of a District Youth Commissioner will be to facilitate our District to continue and deliver / provide youth centric and shaped Scouting. Youth involvement includes our young people doing the following:-

  • sharing their ideas
  • learning from and teaching each other and adults
  • taking part in decision making
  • assisting with planning the programme, including activities and camps
  • becoming more involved in all aspects of Scouting

Every year our District and composite Groups help over 900 Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers across the Lisburn area enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to work alongside both our youth members and adult to continue to provide high quality youth centric Scouting RIGHT across our District. So apply and help to shape our adventures.
