Founders Day with Northern Ireland’s retired Scouters

As DC, IIMG_1250IMG_1247IMG_1246 spent this this afternoon at St Marks, Ballymacash at the Arrowhead’s Society Annual Founders Day Service. The Arrowhead Society is Northern Ireland’s Retired Scouters Association.

I played a very small part in what was a very very moving service conducted by Canon George Irwin. Well done to the readers from 1st Ballymacash Cubs and Scout Nathaniel Barr, Reuben Barr and Michael Walker. Scout Jamie Howe played a lovely, tranquil and inspiring piece on the violin, accompanied his father, St Marks Musical Director Tim Howe on the piano.

Thanks to the Society for the invitation and to all at St Marks for hosting and for putting on a gorgeous spread afterwards.
